tools at hand

~ welcome to my studio ~

A family of 3 living in a 1-bedroom apartment means no "room of her own" for mama. (No "man cave" for daddy either.)

A little creative heaping and a found cupboard later... tah dah!

In lean moments while the guys nap or even on my lunch hour at the office I pull together a little crafting.
Maybe it's like that for you too?

soup's on

I made homemade chicken stock for the first time!

I'm happy with the results and promptly tossed in
leftover chicken & rice, chopped up half an onion,
red & yellow bell peppers, a little garlic, grated ginger...

Isn't it pretty?

yarnin'

I buy bags of random yarn at the Goodwill & then try to arrange them in some interesting pattern.
Other times I simply enjoy losing myself in the rhythm of yarnin' itself without "making something."

I actually like this photo of myself.
